Far away, hidden from the outside world Is a place that i like to call my own. There are no loud cars Roaring as they travel Along the hard, black roads. Far way, there is an Indian palace; Magnificent and grand With glorious colors and designs. A place so innocent, yet so mysterious. Far away, there is an African Jungle With danger lurking behind Every shred of green. With wild animals Both kind and vicious. Far away, there is a place to escape.

Who knows what lurks In the shadows and the night? I sometimes feel a strong hand Reaching out to me when my back is turned. Yet when i turn my head to Gaze upon my stalker, I see nothing but darkness. I feel so alone in this Great big world of grey. It's almost as if The shadows are calling out to me; Summoning me to join them. Is this where I belong? Is this where I will be loved? I sometimes go up to my room, Turn out my lights and wait. What am I waiting for? The one who calls to me With a voice so warm and inviting. But is a shadow something That can hold me close? Someday I will find out.

Standing at a distance I see you laugh with your friends. Your smile melts my heart Into my stomache, making it toss and turn. Standing with you now, as you talk to me about her- About how great she is; All i can do is smile, Though inside i've been stabbed a hundred times over. Emotions surge Through my body. Flowing to every point, every extreme. Sometimes I wonder why we have so many emotions. Why we must Feel pain and suffering. Why we must cry. These emotions Claw at my very essence; Tear away at me From the inside out. I'd rather be cold inside; To be free from the pain. Happiness is a friend That has long since Been lost in my past. I hope to cross paths With it someday soon, But until then, I've just got to hold on.

Emotions surge through Me once again; Taking their toll on me. Yet this time I Welcome them freely. I have once again Crossed paths with happiness, And this time, I'm not letting it go. Tearing, shreading, killing Spilling sticky red liquid as it prowls. Moving without pity, Taking me-its prey- Into the dark, Promising answers. But lovers can be so blind It leaves me in the corner Cold and alone, Frantically grabbing for someone, But finding no one. Rape. "No mercy" That is love's motto. Its sharp talons gripped Around my vounerable heart, Treating me like a puppet; A play thing used for laughs. Contorting its slimey face, Love laughs cackles at me- Enjoying the sight of my pain.

Lost in a love that will always be there. Our souls wander lonely Through endless dark hallways. We crawl and search for the one thing we want, Yet it is always one step ahead. One step ahead of us, Cackling as we stammer and stutter And  blindly grab for it.   Always knowing in the back of our minds That we will never feel each others warm embrace. Our very essences calling; Screaming out for each other, But finding no one.   Lost in each others love, We can only gaze from a distance Until fate brings us together for good.

Have you ever looked at a sunset?  I mean really looked at one.  Have you ever sat there and let its beauty take you over?  Let its warm colours trickle through you like a calm brook in late spring? Many people take advantage of the beauty and wonder of sunsets.  They see them as just another end to another day.  Some people can be so blind. When I look at a sunset, I see vivid colours.  I feel a warm calm come over my body.  Though reds and oranges are usually colours of chaos and bedlam,  that's not so in this case.  Here, they are colours of peacefulness and tranquility.
